Welcome to the family
Fight like a team, train like a family.
Professor Patrick Applegate earned his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2011 under Gracie Barra black belt Prof. Nelson Monteiro. He’s competed and medaled on the the IBJJF Worlds stage and has been a coach and mentor to his students for more than a decade.
In 2009, Prof. Patrick began his MMA coaching career in Alaska where he coached multiple state champions before moving to Texas and then to Vermont. Under his tutelage, he’s trained multiple UFC fighters and belt holders.
A father of four, Prof. Patrick is deeply invested in the Greater Falls community as a volunteer and instructor to many of the area’s youth through after school programs at the elementary and middle school levels.
Coach Megan holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsua and the rank of “san kyu” (brown belt) in Judo. She’s competed in Judo, Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts (earning herself a 2-1 record) around the country before settling down to raise her family of raucous wildlings.
Her passion centers on the youth of the Greater Falls community and there’s a good chance she knows every single kid in the zip code under the age of 17. They all matter to her and she’s made it her life’s work (her day job) to help the community better support our young neighbors and give them the best start in life they can.
